Executive Festival Director - Chris Durant
A native of Minneapolis, Chris Durant has delved into the artistic realms of music, film and theatre throughout his life. Chris studied filmmaking, screenwriting, theatre and music at Minneapolis Community and Technical College. Out Twin Cities Film Festival was founded by Chris Durant in June 2010, with the goal to help fill a void in Minnesota's GLBTQ cinema community. In 2009, he wrote and produced a local mock-reality show: ‘The Show So Gay.’ In 2010, he co-wrote and directed ‘Genderf*kation,’ a documentary that focuses on six individuals and their struggles around social, political and religious ideologies and gender non-conformity. Currently, Chris Durant's “The Gay Mob” is four years in the making, from script to stage. Originally a screenplay.
Board Member at Large, Donovan Harmel
Donovan Harmel is a native of Rugby, North Dakota, where he was active in the arts. He was active in music in high school and a church organist for 18 years. In 1972 he helped organize Village Arts, Inc. which sponsored community theatre, choir, orchestra, literary magazine, and scholarships to the International Music Camp. He served as vice chair and chair person before moving to the Twin Cities. Donovan Harmel has served on the Out Twin Cities Film Festival board since it's first planning stages. He is also one of the Producers and assistant editor of 'Genderf*kation: A Gender Emancipation.'
Co-Chair/Director, Interim - Chanstay Young
Originally from Los Angeles, Chanstay has spent most of her life in St. Paul. She has a passion for film and has written several screenplays. Chanstay is also a novelist, inventor and artist. Chanstay Young has worked in the marketing and advertising field since 1996. She is a Freelance Copywriter. Chanstay lives in Saint Paul with her daughter, Livia, and their pet rabbit, Haircut.

Program Director - Cole Bauer
Cole Bauer is a native of Kenmare, North Dakota. Moving to Minneapolis after High School, he attended the University of Minnesota where he graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Studies in Cinema & Media Culture and German Studies. He came to work with the Out Twin Cities Film Festival last year, and this year has joined the board of directors to work with the content and programming aspects of the festival.
